WVACS has two fieldstations situated side-by-side on several ridgetop acres near Renick in Greenbrier County, WV. The grounds include a very, very large yard on which 100 people can camp. The combined fieldstations sleep 40 people and include two full kitchens (with pots, pans, plates, etc.), a full bath, two bathrooms, and two shower rooms. The sleeping accomadations include a bunk room with bunk beds (no mattresses) and a loft encompassing the entire second floor of the small building. We have hot and cold drinkable, running water. The grounds include a fire pit for socializing, a survey course, a rappel tower, and parking. And our basement is Buckeye Creek Cave (accessible from the bottom of the ridge)!

Members pay $5/night and non-members pay $7/night. And everyone pays $1/shower to help defray the cost of our water well. Quite a bargain by any standards!

A partial list of our amenities is below:

A schematic of the fieldstations is shown below (not to scale). Greg Springer has posted his pictures of the fieldstation and our property in his Flickr account: Fieldstation Photos.
