WVACS Pre-Camp

The West Virginia Association for Cave Studies (WVACS) is proud to offer a week of West Virginia caving at our location in Greenbrier County! Our pre-Camp will be June 19-23, 2023, at our Fieldstation just north of Lewisburg, W.Va. It is the week before the NSS Convention in Elkins, W.Va., which is 2.5 hours south of Elkins on U.S. Route 219.

There will be many cave trips for people of all experience and skill levels throughout the week, including project trips. Greenbrier caves are commonly muddy and wet, so a cave suit is highly recommended.

Price is $15 per night. Several meals are included with the cost, with a big dinner planned for Friday the 23rd, and much more!

For more information about Greenbrier and surrounding caves you can order publications from the West Virginia Speleological Survey and see the conservation efforts of the state-wide West Virginia Cave Conservancy.

More details will be available as we get closer to June. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out to Jessica Reep (540-429-5861, ).

If you want to reserve your spot now, send a check (made out to WVACS) to our treasurer. Please include which nights you will be staying at the pre-camp.
